Your Career Next Chapter Day Three opens with one of the most powerful and underexplored conversations in the menopause space: what do you actually want your working life to look like from here? We work through knowing what you no longer want, knowing what you do want, how to articulate your experience and mastery with confidence rather than apology, and how to identify and name the transferable skills that women over fifty carry into every room they enter. We look at your options — full time, part time, flexible, virtual, a complete pivot, a portfolio career — and we help you begin designing your perfect year, month, week, and day.

Different Experiences Across Women Because no two women experience menopause the same way. We hold space for surgical menopause, early menopause, menopause across different cultural contexts, and the specific considerations around endometriosis, weight loss surgery, alcohol, and other health factors that are so rarely included in mainstream menopause conversations.

Integration and Personal Planning The final session of the retreat is yours. We bring together everything from the three days — the knowledge, the strategies, the clarity, and the community — and we help you build your personal Blindfolded Plan: a clear, realistic, compassionate map for the months ahead. Strength Training, Protein, and Why Your Body Needs Both More Than Ever We cover the physiological case for strength training and adequate protein intake during menopause — not as aesthetic goals, but as non-negotiable foundations for bone density, muscle mass, metabolic health, and long-term quality of life.

Training Your People to Support You This is one of the sessions women tell us they needed years ago. We cover how to educate your partner, your children, your family, and your colleagues about what menopause actually looks like — how to communicate your needs clearly, how to create a support language that your household can use, how to set boundaries without guilt, and how to build a wider support network that holds you rather than adding to your load.

The retreat is facilitated by Terri Lee, author of Blindfolded and a practitioner with 30 years of experience working with women through menopause. Every session is grounded in the evidence base of the book — honest, current, and delivered with the warmth and directness that women in this transition actually need.

All meals are included and designed around the nutritional principles covered in the retreat — high protein, anti-inflammatory, genuinely delicious.
